Cleveland Auto Show

Event Details: The Cleveland Auto Show is a no-pressure, consumer show and a favorite family tradition featuring concept, pre-production and production vehicles from the world’s auto manufacturers, the show also includes an array of entertainment including celebrity appearances. The first Cleveland Auto Show was held in February 1903 at Gray’s Armory in downtown Cleveland, featuring 15 Cleveland-made automobiles, in addition to several other manufacturer exhibits from other cities throughout the country. With leading automakers of the time, like Winton, White, Jordan and Peerless — just to name a few — the City of Cleveland was regarded as one of the leaders early in the American automobile industry. In fact, Cleveland was considered the first Motor City until 1908, when Detroit became center stage for the burgeoning industry. The Ride-N-Drive experience was pioneered by the Cleveland Auto Show in the early 2000s, a concept that has since spread across the country in multiple variations and formats.

Mayfield Village Family Cruise

Event Details: Classic cars, Elvis, live music, and a variety of programming designed for everyone. The party kicks off early this year at The Grove on Thursday, June 11 at 6:30 pm with Richie Santa – “A Tribute to The King.” It is our summer warm-up before one of Mayfield Village’s favorite traditions rolls into town. Family Cruise Night returns on Saturday, June 13 from 4:00–9:00 pm with classic cars filling the center of town and vehicles 1993 and older cruising Wilson Mills starting at 5:00 pm. Bring the family and enjoy face painting, balloons, bounce houses, a reptile zoo, and a live magic show by Tada the Magician at the Gazebo. Three stages of music keep things moving all evening, with Overboard: The Love Boat Band at the Plaza Stage and Everything Must Go Band rocking Austin’s Steakhouse Stage. Add alfresco dining at local restaurants and a great cause—proceeds benefit Hillcrest Meals on Wheels—and you have a night made for summer memories.
